VJ Panda - visualise the music.

I’m always looking for opportunities to immerse people in the music through awesome visuals.

Now with a new fun hook, random people can control the visuals from the dance floor using an XBox controller.

This was New Years Eve 2025 at a top secret bush doof.

The first part was at the Hot Tub Lounge from 0030hrs – 0330hrs as 2026 was getting started. The second part was the main tent on New Years Day.  Spot my cameo appearance :o)

The visuals absolutely added to the vibe and the feedback was beautiful.

Beats meet Boards was a popup doof held on the Gold Coast where I did the visuals.   Here’s a minute and a half out of 4.5 hours.

Without going into all the details, I was at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse in mid November 2025 and they had a 15 minute or so set of OK visuals, looping.   But by the 3rd time around it got boring and I don’t think was in the spirit of “immersive visuals”, I felt for the people who were there for hours.

My offer to step in was accepted and this…for the final hour of Grouch.  Pretty happy with it, if you ignore the shots of the ceiling :o) , imagine what I can do at your event.

While I do DJ and provide music, my passion is doing visuals.   DJing and VJing simultaneously is very possible, but it is tricky trying to concentrate on two important aspects of an event at the same time.  That’s why if I am DJ, I have semi-automated the visuals and can operate them via a MIDI controller

Own gear:

Epson EB-675W ultra short throw projector – this thing can project a huge image from really close to the front or back of the screen.

Powerful laptop – NVIDIA 4070 GPU + 64Gb RAM

Software –  Resolume, Touch Designer, Mildrop3 Pro, Magic Music Visualiser, OBS.  Plus VirtualDJ if also DJing

Inflatable screen – you need a big space for this baby, it measures 4m wide x 3m high and can be front or rear projected

Stretchy screen – 3m x 2m is perfect for small spaces

MIDI controllers – I have control over the performance without having to do much on my computer

8 channel PA – twin passive speakers, plenty loud enough for a party or enclosed space

Party lights – a bunch of stuff to help create a vibe.  Smoke machine, lasers, LED strings, par lamps etc.

I went to a great event at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse and I reckon I could do a great job with the visuals for their next event.   Their staging has a couple of elements in front of the big screen.   Here’s my pitch video with those elements mapped and their own visuals applied.  Given I was working from a photo and did this in about 30 minutes, I am really pleased with it.

One of the great (and scary) things about live performance is that no two are ever the same.

Here’s an edited recording of a session at a family event – in real time most visuals would likely run for a bit longer and also synch to music changes and moods, but I want to show off a lot of variety in a short video.   The last minute shows the result after the wind started really blowing and my inflatable screen had to be taken down.  Quick thinking, my short throw projector worked perfectly (and effectively) bringing the floor to life.

If you want some VJ visuals at an event, a party or anything.  Or maybe you want a DJ who loves dance music and doesn’t like playing ABBA or Nutbush or…you get the idea.

Available anywhere in the world, but let’s be realistic:  Gold Coast based and will obviously travel to Brisbane, Northern Rivers and even the Sunshine Coast to get people dancing.
